Scottie Pippen and Larsa Pippen were married and were together for 19-years before they decided to part ways in 2017. In the show ‘ The Real Housewives of Miami’, Larsa reflects on her relationship with Scottie Pippen.
Beginning of something special
Scottie Pippen and Larsa Pippen first met in 1995, five years after his marriage with Karen McCollum was ended, and before he dated Larsa he was temporarily engaged to Yvette De Leon, but things never worked out, till he met Larsa. They both started dating each other in 1995, a time when Scottie Pippen and the Chicago Bulls were at the peak of their powers and already winning the first three-peat with the Bulls, he was falling in love with Larsa and got married to her 2 years later 20th July 1997.
After getting married in 1997 they have spent 19 years together, together the couple was blessed with 4 children, their first child was born in 2000, and was named Scottie Jr. he is the only child to have passion for the game Scottie devoted to, their second child came in 2002, and was named Preston, their third child was born in 2005, and finally their last child together was born on 2008, they had a baby girl and named her Sophia. Out of the four children Scottie Jr. plays for the Vanderbilt University at the Point Guard position.
Larsa Pippen on Scottie Pippen on the show ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’
On Thursday’s episode of ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ Larsa Pippen revealed that Scottie Pippen was not on terms when she tried selling their home in Miami, she also forced him to sell it, and due to the decision of the 6-Time NBA champion their youngest child had to go back to Los Angeles, “I don’t even know what’s happening” Larsa said, she even forced him to sell it otherwise she had to send their 14-year old daughter back to Los Angeles.
Larsa told about Scottie’s attitude in the relationship, that he, “is used to controlling the narrative.” She called it “Traumatizing”, and if things didn’t go according to his wises, Larsa said, “If he doesn’t get his way, he punishes me. He’s like The Punisher.” Larsa tells that he is punishing her because he doesn’t want to sell the house and is doing so to make her feel that he is the one in charge.
It is well known that she has been dating Minnesota Timberwolves player Malik Beasley, and said, “So dating someone younger makes me happy? I’m doing it!”, it is evident that Scottie is jealous of her. Reflecting on her relationship with Scottie Pippen she said, “I would expect so much. I would expect a guy to do so much for me. Because that’s what I’ve had. If you’re not going to do a whole bunch of things for me, then why would I want to be with you? I’d rather be alone.”
